The Beat Goes On; 'Beat Teams Atlanta' to be held March 6, 2015, at Land of a Thousand Hills
'Beat Teams,' our nationwide instrument donation program is coming back to the Atlanta area, March 6, 2015 for a live event at 'Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee Co.' We are once again working with Metro Music Therapy and their incredible team to collect instruments in support of music therapy and music education programs. Last year's event help collect instruments that went to Haiti to help an orphanage develop their own music programs.
The evening will be filled with an eclectic mix of music and story telling featuring International Performing artist Jeffrey Marshall, Jay Bubb from the Alchemy Sky Foundation, and a variety of music therapists from the Atlanta area sharing not only their incredible musical talent but the stories behind the songs chosen, and the impact they've had on the people they've worked with. Andrew Roth from HBO's 'The Wire' and most recently the feature length film 'My Name is Paul' will be our special guest for the evening.
This all ages event is free to the public and we will be collecting gently used instruments all night. Drop us a line on the Terra Rising Facebook Page, Twitter, or on Instagram if you would like to come and/or donate an instrument. See you in Georgia!
